The premier league player of the season 2025/2026, Bruno Fernandes is eyeing on writing his name into World Cup history books if he delivers seven assists.

7 Assists away from all-Time record

If Bruno registers 7 assists at the upcoming World Cup campaign, he will become the player with the most assists in a single World Cup tournament. The Manchester United star could outdo legends like Pelé, Maradona, and Messi if he breaks the record.

How he has proven to be English premier league star

Fernandes is enjoying a brilliant season for club and country. He previously recorded 21 assists in the Premier League during the 2025/26 season, the highest tally ever by a midfielder in a single EPL campaign. 

That tally put him ahead of  Kevin De Bruyne and Thierry Henry, who both hold the all-time Premier League record with 20 assists in a single season. Bruno's assists helped Manchester United finish 3rd in 2025/2026 premier league thus much positive impact to the team. Due to this, the team will feature in 2026/2027 Champions League competition.

As United’s main creative engine, Bruno has the vision and technique to break both the Premier League and World Cup assist records in the same season.

For Portugal, Bruno is now their creative leader as Cristiano Ronaldo’s role changes with age. The star creates chances, delivers killer passes, and drives the attack from midfield. Just 7 assists at the World Cup and a new record will be written. 

As Ronaldo is now aging, Portugal now turn their eyes on Bruno. As his fan, have seen his magic passes in the midfield and for sure, he might be the key player that Portuguese need. In the national team, he has been good enough to assist with goals making Portugal win EURO last year. His connection with Vitnha and Jao Neves in the midfielder is undeniably one of the best duo.
