You Will Never Suffer of Stroke if You Adhere to This

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), stroke is a rapid development of clinical signs of focal disturbance of cerebral functions.

Note that your cerebral cortex is very essential in thinking, memory, solving problems and functions in relation to how you sense. Stroke occurs when blood supply to the brain is interposed or interrupted .This leads to blocking oxygen and nutrients from reaching the brain tissues.

It’s important to know that there two main types of stroke. That is, Ischemic and Haemorrhagic stroke. An ischemic stroke is the very common one. It happens when there is cutting of blood flow to brain tissues. Haemorrhagic stroke occurs when one has bleeding around or in the brain.

Here are some of the signs and symptoms to stroke occurrence;

1.   Numbness. This is loss of sensing to any part of the body. Many people incur pins and needle feeling and mostly on their arm or leg. Numbness is not limited to any part of the body, it can occur in a single nerve or one side of your body.

2.   High blood pressure, heart diseases and diabetes. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Protection (CDC) research, aged people suffer from high blood pressure and heart diseases. That is, stroke increases with increase in age. These diseases are high causes of brain stroke.

3.   Dizziness, vision changes and impaired consciousness. Eyesight problems are common symptom to oncoming stroke. Stroke is a disease caused by multiple factorial diseases. This signs and symptoms are common to people who had stroke before then. Research notifies that 25% of the people with these symptoms have had a previous stroke.

Stroke is a dangerous sickness and has numerous negative impacts. Some of the common effects of stroke include:

      Paralyzing. It usually occurs on one side of body, opposite the side of the brain tissues with no reach in oxygen and nutrients. As a result, the messaging sense of the muscles and the brain will inappropriately function.

    Difficulty in understanding. Brain being the essential part which receives and decodes a message in order to give feedback, might fail to. Speaking, writing and reading consequently are affected.

    Change in behavior and lack of self-caring. People living with stroke disease are considered aggressive and easily irritable. This is because the person has got frustration of his/her disease which can turn to disability if not prevented in time.

There are many effects caused by stroke. But its good of everyone to know the best way to avoid stroke is through knowing on how to prevent it. Whether you are a victim or not, prevent yourself from stroke.

How to prevent yourself from stroke disease

1.   Consume healthy diet. It is advisable to everyone, whether a victim to stroke or not, take Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) diet. These are fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean meat. Water is also part of it. According to the World Health Organization research, you should at least drink five glasses of water per day, and this will reduce your risk of stroke by 53%.

2.   Avoid smoking. Smoking affects blood clots by thickening them. This result to insufficient flow of blood to brain tissues thus low oxygen reaches the brain. From this, one has high chances of having a stroke. Therefore, it’s good enough to decline smoking to avoid stroke.

3.   Do physical exercise activities. For you to lower your cholesterol and blood pressure, which are causes to stroke, you have to regularly exercise. For instance you can have bike riding exercise or any other worth physical exercise.
